CAIRO – 25 November 2020: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday session on mixed note, adding LE 787.12 million to market capitalization, amid foreign selling.
The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.65 percent, or 71.09 points, to close at 11,068.44 points.
On the other hand, the equally weighted index EGX 50 decreased 0.24 percent, or 5.22 points, to end at 2,196.67 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 dipped 1.31 percent, or 27.04 points, to close at 2,037.52 points, and the broader index EGX 100 dropped 0.89 percent, or 26.74 points to 2,984.08 points.
Market capitalization gained around LE 787.12 million, recording LE 639.3 billion, compared to LE638.49 billion in Tuesday’s session.
The trading volume reached 830.97 million shares, traded through 57,072 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.12 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 98.46 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 56.02 million, and LE 42.44 million, respectively.
Arab, and Foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 8.66 million, and LE 2.51 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net sellers at LE 165.81 million.
Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 221.84 million , and LE 33.77 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 100.98 million.
The Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy - Panda, Porto Group, and Arab Pharmaceuticals were top gainers of the session at 9.94 percent, 5.74 percent and 4.68 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, Alexandria New Medical Center, Gulf Canadian Real Estate Investment Co., and International Co For Investment & Development were top losers of the session by 9.93 percent, 9.91 percent, and 9.85 percent, respectively.
EGX ended Tuesday session in green, as EGX30 hiked 1.03 percent, EGX 50 climbed 1.59 percent, EGX 70 rose 1.19 percent and the broader index EGX 100 increased 1.28 percent.
